One of our dearest Napa friends, Megan has treated us to her own kitchen witching and every esperience is heartfelt and delicious.
The journey that led Megan to Napa is one that movies are made of. A born and raised Texan, Megan met her husband, Michael Baldacci, winemaker at Baldacci Family Vineyards, through dear friends. A love story blossomed over the miles between Dallas and Napa, ending with Megan relocating to California 5 years ago.
When she is not hard at work as a nurse and caring for others, she is in the kitchen feeding her loved ones with passion and joy. Megan loves being involved in the family business and exploring the wine and food culture in Napa and Sonoma. Make sure you catch her Spicy Tomato Soup recipe. It is the perfect pairing with a grilled cheese and a cool day!
Napa Valley Favorites (by AVA):
St. Helena
Yountville
Napa
JCB Lounge, Yountville- A VERY unique and different tasting room. Leopard print upholstery, baccarat crystal chandelier, and everything excess. Wide array of wines to choose from, and an ambiance that is sure to be unlike any wine experience you have seen in Napa Valley.
Cadet Wine Bar- Known for staying open late, a local favorite centered on Old World Wines.
Model Bakery- Artisanal breads and sweet treats, but I believe their showstopper is the sausage breakfast sandwich on their (Oprah Winfrey's favorites list) English muffin. This is the perfect start to a day followed by wine tasting or energy expenditures.
Napa Valley Farm Workers Foundation- A local organization committed to supporting the grape growing community by working to open doors, encouraging growth, and changing lives.
